The Story Behind \u201cForever You Are Master\u201d<\/h1>\n

Some songs are written because they sound good.<\/p>\n

Others are written because they express an emotion.<\/p>\n

But every now and then, a song is born from a biblical truth that refuses to let go of your heart.<\/p>\n

Forever You Are Master<\/strong> is one of those songs.<\/p>\n

Long before the first lyric was written, one truth kept returning to my mind:<\/p>\n

Jesus Christ is not only my Savior. He is my Master.<\/strong><\/p>\n

More Than Savior<\/h2>\n

Many people gladly speak of Jesus as Savior. And He is. Without His blood, there is no forgiveness. Without His resurrection, there is no hope. Without His mercy, none of us could stand before God.<\/p>\n

But Scripture never presents Jesus as Savior while separating Him from His rightful authority.<\/p>\n

The One who saves is also the One who rules.<\/p>\n

The One who forgives is also the One who commands.<\/p>\n

The One who gave Himself for sinners is also the Lord before whom every knee will bow.<\/p>\n

\n

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:<\/strong><\/p>\n

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…<\/strong><\/p>\n

That truth is the heart behind this song.<\/p>\n

Why the Word \u201cMaster\u201d Matters<\/h2>\n

The word Master<\/strong> is not casual. It carries weight.<\/p>\n

To call Jesus Master is to acknowledge that He has authority over my life, my decisions, my desires, my future, my marriage, my ministry, my music, and my heart.<\/p>\n

It means I do not belong to myself.<\/p>\n

It means His Word is not advice. It is command.<\/p>\n

It means worship is not simply singing about how I feel. It is surrendering to who He is.<\/p>\n

Worship Begins With Surrender<\/h2>\n

True worship is not entertainment. It is not performance. It is not emotional release dressed in religious language.<\/p>\n

True worship begins when the heart bows before Christ.<\/p>\n

That is why Forever You Are Master<\/strong> is not meant to be merely a song to hear. It is meant to be a confession.<\/p>\n

It says:<\/p>\n

Lord, You are still Master when life is easy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are still Master when life is hard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are still Master when I understand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are still Master when I do not.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That kind of worship does not depend on circumstances. It rests on the unchanging authority and faithfulness of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

Why I Wrote This Song<\/h2>\n

I wrote Forever You Are Master<\/strong> because I wanted a song that lifted Christ above every temporary thing.<\/p>\n

There are seasons when life feels uncertain. There are times when prayers seem delayed. There are moments when the heart needs to be reminded that Jesus has not stepped down from His throne.<\/p>\n

He is still Lord.<\/p>\n

He is still faithful.<\/p>\n

He is still worthy.<\/p>\n

He is still Master.<\/p>\n

That truth does not make every trial easy, but it gives the believer a place to stand.<\/p>\n

A Song of Confession<\/h2>\n

My prayer is that this song helps listeners do more than hear a melody.<\/p>\n

I pray it helps them confess the truth.<\/p>\n

Jesus is Master over the home.<\/p>\n

Jesus is Master over the church.<\/p>\n

Jesus is Master over suffering.<\/p>\n

Jesus is Master over the future.<\/p>\n

Jesus is Master over me.<\/p>\n

That is not bondage. That is freedom.<\/p>\n

The world tells us freedom means doing whatever we want. Scripture teaches something very different. True freedom is found when the heart stops rebelling against God and bows gladly before Christ.<\/p>\n

Take a few minutes today to consider that verse. Jesus did not correct His disciples for calling Him Master and Lord. He affirmed it.<\/p>\n

The question is not whether Jesus is Master.<\/p>\n

The question is whether we are living as though He is.<\/p>\n
